PortalsXR was a showcase for Live Nation at VoodooFest 2017 that created an augmented reality show on top of the live show for their main stage. The AR show was built for iOS and Magic Leap, and included pre-sequenced elements as well as real-time audio-reactive effects.

Certain elements of the real-time effects were controlled by a show designer through OSC controllers, and others were reactive to user touch input. The PortalsXR enabled phones were networked together so that users could see the geo-located particle effects from others in the crowd, and Lidar scans of the stage enabled real occlusion of the AR world.
