2017 Emmy Nominee – Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Programming

Wonder Buffalo pushed the boundaries of interactivity with volumetric capture in a game engine, seamlessly fusing photogrammetry environments, 8i volumetric performance capture, and interactive game elements. After witnessing a rough encounter between a Filipino teenager her emotionally abusive mother, you help her transform her world to an imaginary comic book realm so she can embody her super hero alter ego Wonder Buffalo.

The project was funded by the USC Entertainment Technology Center and backed by a consortium of studio and technology partners.
